Ballyhoo Theatre and Edmonds College are excited to announce our Mainstage production of James and the Giant Peach, YTA (Youth Theatre Audiences), February 12-28, 2027. This co-production will be COMPLETELY FREE for all audience members for the entire run!
Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by the Tony Award-nominated team of Pasek and Pauland a quirky book by Timothy Allen McDonald (Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley), James and the Giant Peach is a masterpeach! When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach... and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach – among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities – but, after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James' quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family.

CABARET
Announcing the Ballyhoo Mainstage production of CABARET!
Cabaret, the 1966 groundbreaking masterpiece with music by John Kander and Fred Ebb and book by Joe Masteroff, is set in the shadows of 1931 Berlin during the rise of the Nazi regime. Cabaret explores the relationships between club performer Sally Bowles and American novelist Cliff Bradshaw, and between gentile Fräulein Schneider, a boarding house proprietor, and her tenant Herr Schultz, a mild-mannered Jewish fruit seller. Overseeing the action at the Kit Kat Klub is the mysterious Master of Ceremonies, presenting classic musical theatre hits as commentary throughout the piece. Cabaret examines the dangers of keeping our eyes closed to the world around us, and reminds us to stand up against the power of hatred to take away our human rights.
