Ballyhoo is thrilled to bring in the new year with the return of our crowd-favorite fundraiser BEND. Now in its 8th edition, this year’s BEND invites us down the rabbit hole in a queer retelling of the Lewis Carroll classic, Alice in Wonderland. Inspired by various adaptations and featuring exciting songs all across the musical theatre cannon, our alumni return for a festive night of music and storytelling.

BEND8: ALICE is written and arranged by Erich W. Schleck, based on a concept by Shileah Corey, and features a cast of Ballyhoo alumni based all around the country.  We invite you back to our favorite annual Ballyhoo tradition!

Ballyhoo Theatre and Edmonds College are excited to announce our Mainstage production of A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD. This co-production will be COMPLETELY FREE for all audience members, for the entire run. In our efforts to create more accessible theatre-going experiences, we will be have a sensory-friendly performance, a shortened performance for families with younger children, as well as an ASL interpreted show for our Deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons

Based on Arnold Lobel's well-loved books, and featuring a wonderful score by Robert and Willie Reale, this whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful Frog and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation in the Spring, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.

Pippin, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson, is the story of a young man's coming-of-age journey, aided by a mysterious performance troupe and the troupe’s savvy Leading Player. Pippin is searching for his life’s purpose which, he believes, is the key to happiness, fulfillment, and an extraordinary life. Pippin is magical, poignant, and unforgettable.

Inept, but ever-hopeful, Charlie Brown searches for what it means to be a good person, finding unexpected answers from his friends Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Sally and Snoopy.  Visit with the gang as they set out to discover how happiness in life is made up of all the little moments we often take for granted. This bright and sunny show is packed with upbeat songs, funny comics and the creative genius of Charles M. Schultz, with a book by Clark Gesner and Michael Mayer, and music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and Andrew Lippa.
