What happens after "happily ever after?" James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

Announcing auditions for Wonderland, our student Summer Intensive. A riveting spin on the classic story of
Alice and her Looking-Glass World, this contemporary adaption features a fresh pop score with music from
Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Civil War, Bonnie & Clyde), lyrics by Jack Murphy (The Civil War), and a
revised book by Jennifer Paulson-Lee and Gabriel Barre (based on an original book by Gregory Boyd (The Civil
War) and Jack Murphy). This updated vision of Wonderland premiered in 2022.
Our modern day Alice struggles to balance the commitments of work and family, estranged from her husband
and alienated from her daughter. Upon a dreamy trip to a Wonderland, she encounters strange yet familiar
characters including a Cheshire Cat with a fabulous flair, a delightfully dotty Queen of Hearts, and a malicious
Mad Hatter. Alice is challenged with the task of reuniting with her inner child on a fantastical journey down the
rabbit hole and into our hearts, learning about the immense power of believing in yourself.

Ballyhoo Theatre and Edmonds College are excited to announce our Mainstage production of Seussical YTA (Youth Theatre Audiences)! This co-production will be COMPLETELY FREE for all audience members for the entire run!
Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, who has too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge – not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces many challanges, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.
