Heathers The Musical (High School Edition) is the story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with J.D., the dangerously handsome new kid. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, things go vastly awry. Heathers has music, lyrics and book by Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy, and is based on the 1988 film of the same name written by Daniel Waters.
While it is a high-energy black comedy, the show opens conversations about dark issues, including bullying, teen suicide, sexual assault, and violence in schools. Heathers High School Edition is rated strong PG13.
On-line sales end one hour prior to show, and the box office opens one hour before show times.

A MAINSTAGE PRODUCTION!
What’s a mother to do when her daughter would just kill for a lead role in the school play? Eight-year-old Tina Denmark is a parent's worst nightmare. She knows she was born to play Pippi Longstocking in her school show and will do ANYTHING to win the part. Mix together The Bad Seed, All About Eve, Gypsy and nearly every other classic story of stage mothers and precocious brats and you've got Ruthless! Book and Lyrics by Joel Paley, Music by Marvin Laird
On-line sales end one hour prior to show, and the box office opens one hour before show times. Ruthless is rated PG-13
As you know, theatre companies all over the country have been hit hard with cancelations and postponements. This is especially difficult for small companies like Ballyhoo. Our ticket sale server has defaulted on our ticket sale money from our production of Ruthless...and it could be months, if we see it at all (check out the news about Brown Paper Tickets). In addition, our expenses, royalty agreements and rentals still have to be paid. No one in Ballyhoo is taking a salary for any recent projects and all projects are delayed until June for certain, and possibly longer.
Featuring:
Cassidy Barnes, Coulson Bingham, Max Boone, Tate Busby, Susannah Faherty, Luna Fisher, Brett Hargrave, Erin Hyatt, Eli Lotz, Mariah Lotz, Austin Morehouse, Sam Paley, Sophia Parker, Annika Prichard, Caitlin Sarwano, Erich W. Schleck, and Karin Redden-Terry.
If you are able to help us out, that would be wonderful. If you can't, we ask you to watch and enjoy the concert as our gift to you! In times of trouble, we as humans always find ourselves coming back to art as an escape, and these incredible alumni artists have graciously volunteered their time and talents to support this ideal. We need music now more than ever.
